Butterfly
Mount Bolt-On style reflectors behind post bolts with the
reflector's prongs pointed towards oncoming traffic. Tighten bolts
securely over two prongs of the reflector deep into slot provided.
Mount Glue-On style reflectors in "V" channel with Dapco adhesive
#795A.
IBM
Apply Dapco adhesive #795A inside the channel of the IBM
marker and press into place on the top of the steel I-Beam post.
Straight
Straights may be mounted directly to wooden guardrail support
posts using two (2) 16 DG nails with (2) 3/16" (0.5 cm) washers in
the factory drilled holes provided. If ordered with sheeting on
one side only, make sure that sheeted side faces traffic.
FG427 and FG527
The FG427 and 527 may be mounted directly to wooden guardrail
support posts using two (2) 16 DG nails with two (2) 3/16" (0.5
cm) washers in the factory drilled holes provided. Install with
sheeted side facing traffic. |
Davidson's 795A Adhesive Instructions for Use
Ideal application temperature is 50 to 100 degrees F (10 to 37
degrees C). Apply adhesive 1/8" (0.3 cm) thick to base or mounting
surface of reflector. Press reflector onto and apply firm hand
pressure for five (5) seconds. Adhesive should squeeze up through
the glue holes provided on Butterflys and IBMs for better
mechanical bonding. (Insufficient pressure will not allow for
proper bonding and may result in adhesive failure). After
application, the bond strength increases and approaches the
ultimate bond strength after 72 hours at 70 degrees F (20 degrees
C). Reflectors are then ready for traffic. Dapco Adhesive #795A
will adhere to most clean, dry and well unified surfaces.
Contamination of application surfaces by moisture, metal scale,
dirt or grease will inhibit bonding of adhesive and can result in
adhesive failure.
Reflective Sheeting
Shall be of a specified grade and size affixed to the post by
manufacturer. |
